Alfonzo Powell is CEO and managing partner of ALVA International, an export-import-investment company. His company specializes in global initiatives for governmental and NGO trading partners. Since 1992, Africa continues to be a large focus of his business and humanitarian work, however, Europe and Asia have received much attention through the years.
Throughout his professional experience, Mr. Powell has served in the public and private sectors where he utilized his leadership skills as a public-school administrator, program developer, and international exchange coordinator that provided opportunities that mutually benefitted each group of participating countries.
As a proud graduate of Bowie State University, Mr. Powell understands the importance of giving back so that the youth of this nation will have opportunities to learn and to grow in ways that will prepare them for the monumental task of building and leading our nation forward in the years to come.
