Louis Ronald Williams

Retired Colonel, US Army

Louis Williams, Retired Colonel United States Army, served more than twenty-eight years as commander at all levels of command from platoon, company, battalion to brigade size units. He further served in various staff positions at all levels of command to include serving as senior advisor to the Royal Thai Army in Thailand.

Upon retirement from the military, Louis worked as a civilian with the Department of Defense as a Supervisory Logistics Management Officer with the United States Property and Fiscal Office of the District of Columbia Army and Air National Guard. Louis later became a Business Developer for a small-disadvantaged government contractor where he developed and implemented plans to enable the firm to seek and obtain private, federal, state and local governments contracts in the acquisition, logistics, administrative, security and human resources arena.

Louis Williams received his Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from Florida A and M University. Later he obtained his Master of Science degree from Virginia State University in Supervision and Administration of Education. While in the military, Louis was a graduate of the Army’s Command and General Staff College, the Logistics Executive Development Course, the DOD Supervisory Personnel Management Course, the Defense Race Relations Institute and many other courses relating to human relations, logistics and leadership development.

Louis ’interest in promoting the educational growth and development of young people in our society has caused him to continuously volunteer his time, effort and experience for the professional advancement of Historical Black College and University students. It has been an aspiring experience working with the BSUF Board of Directors, Associate Directors, the Office of Philanthropic Engagement and the Bowie State University staff.
